God Can Do Anything {Loise P Fritz}

God takes the darkest midnight,
Turns it to morning bright,
He takes the darkest moment,
Transforms it into light.

He takes away the raindrops
And makes the rainbow shine;
He takes away our worries
And gives us peace of mind.

He takes away the teardrops,
Put smiles upon our face;
He sets aside the dark clouds
And grants us sunny days.

He takes away our sorrows,
Puts joy into our hearts.
Our gracious God uplifts us;
From us He’ll never depart.

I Can go on

I can go on,
In spite of shattered dreams,
And broken promises,
I can go on,

I can go on,
When all seems lost,
And sorrow seems to,
Fragment my heart,
I can go on.

I can go on,
When pain seems to be
My best friend,
And joy threatens to subside,
I can go on.

I can forget,
The hurt of yesterday,
And embrace tomorrow,
Knowing that,
If I have love in my heart,
No matter what,
May come my way,
I can and will go on.

He Left Her For You

Wedding bells are ringing,
you are smiling, she is crying,
Five children, the baby just,
three months old,
How could you marry him,
knowing he was leaving her for you?
Yes I know he asked you to marry him,
but you could have said no,
You could have looked at the four children,
and the baby and tell him not to be heartless,
She stood outside the church crying,
her three-month old baby in her arms,
You walked past her smiling,
You were dressed in white,
but your heart was dark,
Don’t you not know that you reap,
what you sow?
Someday she will be the one smiling,
and you will be the one crying,
when he leaves you for another.

Love Don’t Live Here Anymore

Love don’t live here anymore,
It left a long time ago,
And all I had was shattered dreams,
And thoughts of what could have been,
You walked away without a backward glance,
I cried my tears, now my eyes are dry,
I am back on my feet,
I am getting ready to fly,
There is a knock on the door,
I wonder who it could be,
I looked and thought perhaps,
My eyes were fooling me,
But you were standing there,
With an apologetic smile,
Saying you were sorry you left,
Could I give you another chance,
There was a spring in my steps,
There was charm in my smile,
I said “honey when you left I changed the,
Locks on the door”
I said “Go find someone else,
Cause you’re not welcome here anymore!”

An Attitude of Love { Clay Harrison }

Life presents us with challenges
That we must overcome,
And sometimes all the detours
Can leave the senses numb.
Life is filled with stumbling blocks
We pass along the way,
But it can become a stepping stone
When love comes into play.

Wherever there’s an obstacle
That we must rise above,
It helps to overcome it with
An attitude of love.
For anger never solves a thing
And stress will bring us down,
But hope unlocks the doorway
Where hope and faith are found.

So many things divide us
Throughout the human race,
But love’s the great uniter,
The smile on mankind’s face!
Life presents us with challenges
That we must rise above,
And blessed is he who can maintain
An attitude of love.

I Shall Rise Again

Free Eagle

I think of all the promises you made me
I remember all the lies you told,
My hopes and dreams and aspirations,
almost went crashing through the door,
The heartache and the pain,
was shattering to say the least,
Even though I saw the signs,
I was unprepared for it.

I was just a pawn in the game that you played,
Just a thing that you toyed with,
The one you took for granted.
I gave you my heart and you tore it apart,
and gave me nothing in return,
You said that you loved me,
But it was all a lie.

You tried to break me down,
But I refuse to stay down,
I had to break free from the chain of love
That was wrapped around my heart,
The betrayal was like a knife
being plunged into my heart.
The pain was hard to deal with,
But each day I am growing stronger,
I have left the past behind,
One day I’ll soar like an eagle,
I’ll spread my wings and fly.

It is Okay

You let your guard down,
And I see in your smile,
A glimpse of the softness deep within,
That you try so hard to hide.
You pretend to be tough,
I suppose it’s the macho thing to do,
But deep inside your yearn for love,
For someone to accept you.
You try to mask your gentle side,
You pretend you don’t need anyone,
But if the truth be known,
You hunger for love just like anyone.
It is okay to care you know,
It is okay to show your emotions’
It is okay because it shows that you are human.

Every Morning {Grace E. Easley}

Waking up each morning
Brings an eagerness to live,
And joy seeps from my waiting heart,
As through an open sieve.
The years seem to have no consequence,
And I am once again
Soaking up God’s goodness,
Like the brown earth after rain.
My cross is not so heavy
When view in morning light,
And I can face by day the thoughts
I could not bear at night.
It’s only in believing that
God shares my narrow way;
That I can keep the best in life,
And throw the rest away.
It’s all in how you look at life
That tells the final tale;
How well you measures up decides
If you win or fail.
So when I wake each morning,
Though I can’t see His face,
I know God walks beside me,
And the world’s a better place.

Can I?

Red Hearts

Rain drops pitter, patter on the roof,
As I look into your eyes,
The touch of your gentle caress,
Makes me want so much to forget,
The crazy world outside.

When you say that you love me,
Do you really mean it,
Or is it just another lie?
Is this love reunion,
Or another betrayal?
Can I trust you to be true?

If I give you my heart,
Will you protect it?
Or will you just tear it apart,
And leave me standing in the dark?
My heart wants to receive you,
I want so much to believe in you,
Can I?

Live Life

What do you do when your plans go asunder?
What do you do when they all come to naught?
you pick up the pieces, you brush off the dust,
You stop for a moment and cry if you must,
You smile through the tear drops and try to be brave,
Then you move on forward to battle the next wave.

Life is sometimes a battlefield where,
Only the toughest survive.
Life comes with problems we all must try to overcome,
Don’t dwell too much on the problems,
Lest you forget how to have fun.

Everyday presents an opportunity for you to begin
To write a new chapter in your book of life,
Cherish every moment, take the bitter with the sweet,
Let your book be bright and colorful,
Take the time to make it great.
When you grow old cherish those moments,
And remember that when your chapter
In this book of life is over,
For someone else it just begins.
