Life presents us with challenges
That we must overcome,
And sometimes all the detours
Can leave the senses numb.
Life is filled with stumbling blocks
We pass along the way,
But it can become a stepping stone
When love comes into play.

Wherever there’s an obstacle
That we must rise above,
It helps to overcome it with
An attitude of love.
For anger never solves a thing
And stress will bring us down,
But hope unlocks the doorway
Where hope and faith are found.

So many things divide us
Throughout the human race,
But love’s the great uniter,
The smile on mankind’s face!
Life presents us with challenges
That we must rise above,
And blessed is he who can maintain
An attitude of love.

  1. I too find the written word to be an escape for me and now days I find it a yet another place to commune with our Savior. I’m open and quite there and He has my full undivided attention. I pray your work will be brought for soon if it has not already. Question: I’ve been reading Clay Harrison for a little over a year and wondered if you knew or any books he’s been published in….Thank you and have a blessed day!

Hi Shaemarie, first I must say a big thank you for stopping by. I too enjoy Clay Harrison’s poems. Most of the poems I have read is found in Salesian Inspirational Books. Hope this will be of help.
