Life Isn’t Always Easy {Linda C. Grazulis}

Life isn’t always easy,
‘Oft we shed a tumbling tear or more,
Dreams can unexpectedly shatter
As we take a nosedive to the floor.

Heartaches can arrive in all their fury,
As our heads with worry start to throb;
But praise God for fervent prayer to lean on
As we bow our troubled souls and sob.

We were never promised a bed of roses
Strewn on our path below;
And trials are often heavy burdens –
A meadow full of dandelions and woe.

But please believe in a divine purpose
For every fiery lash
That sets our feet off balance
As our hopes set sail, but crash.

Oh, take heart weary pilgrims –
Look up to Heaven’s throne,
Dial the prayer line to the Master –
You need not bear such pain alone.

It isn’t always easy to trek this journey
‘Cause thorns sprout along the way.
Nevertheless, rosebuds are prone to blossom –
Weary pilgrim lean on God’s timing today.

Do You Feel There is No Hope

Do You Feel There is No Hope

By Unknown

In your times of deep despair,
Do you feel there is no hope?
As the darkness closes in on you,
Do you feel you cannot cope?

As you struggle on through every trial,
Do you say “When will it end”?
As you cry yourself to sleep at night,
Do you wish you had a friend?

When your body’s racked with aches and pains,
Do you feel you are alone?
When you think about the future,
Do you fear the great unknown?

There is someone who really cares,
And He hears your every cry.
His arms are reaching out to you,
And on Him you can rely.

When things close in around you,
He sees your fear and doubt –
He wants to hold you in His arms,
And He will never cast you out.

As you stumble through the darkness,
He will be your guiding light.
He wants to wipe away your tears,
For you are precious in His sight.

Reach out right now to Jesus,
And let Him take complete control –
He’ll take that heavy burden,
And He’ll touch and make you whole.

He’s reaching out His arms to you,
And He wants to be your friend.
Let Him take you in His loving arms,
For His love will never end.

Trust in the Lord By *Kay Hoffman*

     Perhaps you are feeling a bit down and need something to remind you that no matter what your problems are there is hope when you put your trust in God and believe in his words. I want to share with you this poem written by Kay Hoffman.  I hope it will uplift your spirit!

Trust in the Lord

Let not your heart be troubled,
Nor let it be afraid.
All things are possible with God
In this world He hath made.

For he who tends the lilies
And notes the sparrow’s fall
Will meet the needs of His children
When on His name they call.

As the seasons come and go
According to his will,
Thus a heart that’s filled with fear
Only God’s peace can still.

He knew us there before our birth
And held us in His care.
There are no problems in this life
That He’ll not help us bear.

O be ye not of little faith,
Trust in the Lord above –
He gave His Son to die for us…
There is no greater love.

Hang in There {Ruth M Gilmour}

Smile, be happy, laugh a lot,
Don’t shed another tear;
A wonderful life is waiting for you,
So face it without fear.

There’ll be problems to solve, hurdles to cross,
Work hard and know you can cope.
With God at your side, Him as your guide,
Each day will bring you new hope.

Day will pass by and turn into years,
The ache in your heart will soon heal;
Keep your faith and know that God always cares,
So tackle each day with zeal.

Courage my friend and trust be with you,
Accomplish each task with a grin;
Hang in there, you will make it I know,
Remember your God, you have Him.

Don’t Wait

Don’t wait to do what should be done,
That you have long delayed –
For we are not assured the grace
To live beyond today;
And we cannot return from death
To what we left behind,
To do some deed we should have done
For God or humankind.

Don’t wait to speak the words of love
Another waits to hear,
Don’t wait to hug, in warm embrace,
Some heart you hold so dear;
And wait no more to share your wealth
With charities in need
Or beg forgiveness of the Lord
For hidden, sinful deeds.

Today is yours to do or say
What you have long delayed –
That should be said – or should be done
Before your Judgement Day;
And you, dear heart – just you, alone –
Know what you’ve left to do
To better complement your life
Before this day is through.

Every Morning {Grace E. Easley}

Waking up each morning
Brings an eagerness to live,
And joy seeps from my waiting heart,
As through an open sieve.
The years seem to have no consequence,
And I am once again
Soaking up God’s goodness,
Like the brown earth after rain.
My cross is not so heavy
When view in morning light,
And I can face by day the thoughts
I could not bear at night.
It’s only in believing that
God shares my narrow way;
That I can keep the best in life,
And throw the rest away.
It’s all in how you look at life
That tells the final tale;
How well you measures up decides
If you win or fail.
So when I wake each morning,
Though I can’t see His face,
I know God walks beside me,
And the world’s a better place.

Sometime in Silence {Katherine Smith Matheney}

It is sometime in silence
I know how I feel,
And ask God for mercy
When nothing seems real.

And I ask Him, “Oh Father,
Please show me the way,”
Seems I hear a voice whisper
If humble you pray.

When the way groweth dreary
And there’s darkness around,
And I search for that something
That I hadn’t yet found…

Seemed I heard a voice whisper
“I will show you the way.”
Only trust in God’s promise
He will hear when you pray

Thought For Today

Lord Give Me Faith {By Phyllis C. Michael}

Help me walk with patience, Lord;
Help me watch and pray;
I know that You have heard my cry,
The sun will shine some day.

Help me seek your will, dear Lord,
O, keep me brave and true;
I know not what is best for me.
Send faith to see me through.

Help me walk each step with hope
Though I can’t see the light;
Lord, take my hand and lead the way;
Oh, guide me day and night!

Hour by hour; Lord give me faith,
Faith that never asks why;
Whatever is, Lord, help me say,
‘Safe in Your care I am.’

Lifetime Friends {By Jill Lemming}

Special moments spent with you
Have meant so much to me.
We’ve laughed and cried together….
We’ve grown tremendously.

We’ve talked about our childhood
And discovered hidden truths.
We’ve solved some things between us,
Maturing past our youth.

I wouldn’t trade these moments
Or erase them, if I could,
For every step we’ve taken
Has been for our own good.

We understand each other
And accept what lies within.
God’s strength outweighs our weakness;
His grace has made us friends.
