She rises from the ashes of her pain
It was not easy but she dug deep inside
and found an inner strength to get her through it.
Now she is not afraid to face her fears
She is not afraid to stand tall and shine
She holds her head high with confidence
And she will rise and keep on rising.

Don’t let him knock you around

I thought I had locked it and threw
away the key, but you found it
and you freed me.
It’s enough to hear you whisper
I love you so much dear.
But it’s ever nicer that you take the time
To show me how much you care.
When life’s problems overwhelm you, know that you are not alone. God will listen to your problems. He understands. And when you feel you are losing hope know, that just as he takes care of the birds and all living creatures, he will take care of you!
“I love you,” he said last night
as he held me tight.
His words were like magic to my ears.
Today he came home angry
and his fist almost sent me
flying down the stair.
“I am leaving,” I screamed
“You wouldn’t dare,” he said.
“If you do I’ll find you and kill you.”
I stared at him trying hard to understand
How this sweet loving man can sometimes
change on me like a chameleon.
He doesn’t mean it you know
After all he loves me!
ps. Often times women find themselves caught up in these situation. Take any threat on your life serious. If he says he will kill you, don’t convince yourself that he won’t. Seek help. Get out. Save yourself.
She dares to be a dreamer
she believes in love,
and even when doubt assails her
her heart still holds on.

I won’t tell you, you will have a life without problems. I won’t tell you, things will always go as planned. To believe that would be nothing short of an illusion. What I will tell is, you cannot give way to negativity. No matter how dark the sky may seem you have to believe that the sun will shine again. When the storms of life rage, tell yourself, this too shall pass. Negativity will drown you in despair. Being positive will keep you afloat.
