Life might not have dealt you the right cards, but that doesn’t mean you should give up. You may think your situation is bad but there is always someone else worse off than you.

I once heard a story of a man who was ready to give up on life. Things were hard, he couldn’t get a job. He had no money. He couldn’t even afford food. He felt as if he had come to the end of road. He was tired of struggling so he got a rope and climb into a tree. He had a ripe banana and he peeled it and threw the skin to the ground. While he sat there up in the tree eating his banana another man came along picked up the banana skin off the ground and ate it. The man climbed down from the tree because he realized that although his situation was bad there was someone worse off than him.

Be Eager to Succeed

Success will take time. It seldom happens overnight. You can liken it to the growth a child. A baby isn’t born walking, they go through stages. First the child learn to sit up, then he learns to creep, after which he learns to stand, and then he takes that first step. A child does not take that first step thinking I might fall. No, he does it with eagerness. He is filled with excitement and happiness when he takes that step. And if he falls, he doesn’t stay on the floor and indulge in self pity. No, he gets back up and with the same eagerness, tries to take another step.

Be eager to succeed. Let that eagerness propel you forward. And if you fall, get back up and with that same eagerness, try again. Life is not about giving up, but rather it is about taking those baby step until you master your goal. Life is full of people who started out with bright ideas. However, some encountered set backs and gave up. The ones who achieved success were the ones who took everything that came at them, but stood resolute, refusing to give up. Be one of those people.

To our fallen heroes, we salute you. The sacrifices you made were not in vain. Today and always we will remember you. You brave men and women continue to rest in peace.

Don’t Always Take the Easy Road

Sometimes in life you come to a crossroad and you must choose what path to take. Th easy road may seem the safest, but if the truth be told, it seldom leads to prosperity. Sometimes you have to choose the path unknown and believe in your ability to attain success!

Don’t Write Yourself Off

Sometimes people stand in the way of their own success. People are often quick to see all that can go wrong and quit without bothering to think, if I stay the course things might turn out right.

I will give you an example. Twenty people once signed up to do a course. The first exam they took, most of them did not do well. They took their second exam and again most of the group did not do well. One individual decided the course was hard it would be difficult to pass so that individual quit, The other nineteen stayed the course. It did not get any easier, but they studied more, worked harder and all nineteen completed the course. No one failed.

What I want you to take form this is that it’s never over until it’s over. Stay the course even if at times you fear you might fail. Often success comes in the end.
