Tomorrow is not promised to any of us. All we are sure of is now, this moment that we have. Don’t waste it worrying about situations over which you have no control. Instead use it productively. Be grateful for each moment you are given and use it wisely. Some people spend years holding on to anger and resentment because of ills that was done to them. They were kept prisoners, bound by anger and ill feelings towards the ones who did them wrong. This is no way to live. It is better to forgive and move on. For a soul filled with anger will find no peace, and it’s up to you to free yourself. Your assignment today is to let go of the hurt you have being holding on to and try to forgive the person who hurt you. Do it for you!

Living Through a Pandemic

The last two years have been stresful for a lot ofpeople. Many of us are experiencing for the first time what it is like to live through a pandemic. Some have had to deal with the stress of caring for the ill while trying to stay safe. We have entered a new year but with a rising surge of COVID cases thing have not gotten easier and some individuals are beginning to feel stressed beyond their limit.

It is important during this pandemic to find some solace. While we deal with the stress, we must make an effort to intergrate stress free moments in our daily life. If only for a few minutes each day do something that relaxes you and set your mind at ease. Take a few moments to enjoy something you love. It can be listening to your favorite music, watching a movie, reading a book or going for a walk. If it calms you and put you in a happy place do it. Surving this pandemic requires you protecting not just your physical, but also your mental health.

Shut out the Negatives

If you want to make it in life there are some lessons that you need to learn and things you need to avoid. One of the most important things is having confidence in yourself, and the courage to pursue your dreams, even if you have naysayers. If you spend time worrying about people not believing in you, chances are you won’t make it. If you find yourself obsessing with thoughts that people don’t like you, you won’t make it. Your time should be spent productively. By spending valuable time focusing on negativity, you are setting yourself up for failure. Focus your energy on what matters and you will find yourself a step closer to achieving success.

Engage in Positive Thinking

You become what you think, so if you engage in only negative thinking, you will draw negative energy and attract negative things in your life. Nothing is beyond the reach of the man determined to rise above the odds stacked against him. The people who believes they can attain great height are more likely to see their dreams become a reality. Likewise if you daily bemoan the fact that you are poor, unlucky, and has no hope of of things getting better. You will remain where you are wallowing in self-pity. No matter how beaten down you feel, tell yourself it will get better. Know that where you are is not your final destination. There is a wise quote, which says, “Be careful what you set your heart upon because it will surely be yours.” Set your heart on the things that will elevate you. Dream big and aim high.

Acknowledge the good things you have in your life, your family, friends, your job, a roof over your head and having food on your table. Be grateful for all these things. Everyday across the world there are many without. Reinforce that gratitude in the things you do and say and in the way you treat others. Never forget the highest appreciation for what you have is to show gratitude.
