God has the Answers

I search the sunrise, I search the sunset, Seeking answers, which forever seem to elude me. At the dawn of day, I arise and I pray, That the Father up above, Will help me find the answers The answers to the questions in my mind. At the sinking of the sun, And the rising of the moon, I am still no closer to an answer, And I am still searching for the truth. But in the twilight of my deep despair, A little voice whispers, Believe in God and trust in him, For He has all the answers.

A B C….

When I was small growing up almost every child had an ABC book. I remember mine as a small brown cover book which had the letters of the alphabet written in both common and capital letter. I used to feel so proud as a three-year-old being able to identify letters. Being able to recite the alphabet was great but knowing the letters was even better…Oh the good old days!

Book Review

I am a little behind in my reading goals but I will do my best to catch up. A book I finished reading recently is “Jane Eyre” by Charlotte Bronte. This is an old Classic and some of you may have read it before.

What I love about this book is its refreshing honesty and simple style. I love Jane’s bluntness, her honesty and her innocence in regards to matters of love. Her story is relatable even today for those who are caught up in the system of foster care and children’s homes. Her story is one of strength and survival and finding love in the end.

If you like classics, try this one!

Have a Voice

Do not feel that you have to agree with others all the time. Don’t be afraid to have an opinion. Never be afraid to say no. This world will break you if you don’t learn to stand up for yourself!

Happy Father’s Day

Today is Father’s Day. Let us celebrate the caring and dedicated fathers who are doing their part to help shape the future generation by playing significant roles in their children’s lives. Fathers we salute you and pray you will continue to be a ray of hope and a light to guide the way.

What goes around comes around

I don’t know whether some women are naive or just plain foolish. I can never understand how a woman will cover up for or help a man to harm his wife and truly believe they can have a happy life together after. If he hurts her to be with you what make you think you are so special. Don’t you think he will hurt you too. What goes around have a way of coming back around. That is the law of nature.

Divorce is Sometimes the Answer

Over the past months I have been following two stories of mothers who have gone missing. In March of the year Andreen McDonald of San Antonio, Texas went missing. Her husband was charged with tampering evidence. To date her body has not been found. Her six year old child will no doubt be asking when is mommy coming home.

The other case involves a woman from Connecticut. Jennifer Dulos, a mother of five went missing three weeks ago. Her estranged husband and his girlfriend were charged with tampering of evidence. The search continues for this missing mother.

There is little hope of finding these women alive. My message to these men and others with the same thought process is that no good can come with harming others. If you are in a marriage and it is not working out, walk away, get a divorce…life goes on. Don’t leave your children to suffer.

Thought for Today

Do not constantly ask what others can do for you. Sometimes you have to ask yourself…what can I do to help someone else. Acts of kindness go a far way.

Thought for Today

When you are going through something hard and wonder where God is, remember the teacher is always quiet during a test.

Whisper a Prayer

When you are feeling down and out and your heart is filled with despair, know that there is one you can talk to and he always care. In the midst of your heartache whisper a little prayer. God is always listening. He will heal your wounds and take away your cares.
