“Some people use any and every negative event to justify their doing nothing,
while others use these same experiences as motivation to effect changes and
make a difference for their families and by extension, to humanity.”

“We all wish that we could go through life and be successful without risking anything,
but life teaches us that where there is no risk there is usually no gain”

“How foolish is the man who spends time digging holes to bury people instead of seeds,
then wonders why there is so much weed and no fruits to reap from his garden”
Michael Williams
“Complacency, indecision, procrastination and fear are like steel chains wrapped around our body. They are our handicaps which restrict our ability to move and respond to our environment, however the garnering of positive thoughts gives us even greater strength to break these bonds and free us from our self-inflicted captivity”.

The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart.
— Helen Keller
“If you want happiness for an hour — take a nap.
If you want happiness for a day — go fishing.
If you want happiness for a month — get married.
If you want happiness for a year — inherit a fortune.
If you want happiness for a lifetime — help someone else.

I knelt to pray but not for long, So I knelt and said a hurried prayer, All day long I had no time No time, no time, too much to do, God looked into His book and said Author Unknown |
If there is a future there is time for mending-
Time to see your troubles coming to an ending.
Life is never hopeless however great your sorrow-
If you’re looking forward to a new tomorrow.
If there is time for wishing then there is time for hoping-
When through doubt and darkness you are blindly groping.
Though the heart be heavy and hurt you may be feeling-
If there is time for praying there is time for healing.
So if through your window there is a new day breaking-
Thank God for the promise, though mind and soul be aching,
If with harvest over there is grain enough for gleaning-
There is a new tomorrow and life still has meaning.

With early autumn come the days
I love the best of all,
When the sunlight gilds the landscape with
The mellow light of Fall.
October’s trees don leaves of gold,
Bright red and amber too;
No treasure chest could boast
Jewels of so rare a hue.
The harvest has been gathered in,
Vineyards their riches yield;
In little, sheltered garden, one
Last rose may be reveled.
I love to see the roadside stands
That offer up their treats…
Pumpkins and juicy apples, grapes,
And cider, sharp and sweet.
With Autumn comes Thanksgiving,
That special time when we,
In church and home gather to join
With friends and family,
To thank God for the blessings He
So graciously bestows:
May we never take for granted
The freedoms that we know.
