My Daily Prayer {By Hazel K Boyd}

Midst the hustle and bustle
of a busy day
I pause and take time
to kneel and pray –
A prayer for all my friends,
Near and far,
For God to keep them safely
Wherever they are,
To fill their hearts with His love,
That nurtures all each day,
To show that hope will better things,
That have gone astray.
These gifts of patience, love and hope
We can always share
Then peace will dwell within our hearts
And banish every care.

Never give up on your hopes and your dreams.  The going will not always be easy.  You may have to stop and take a rest sometimes.  At times you may feel like giving up.  It is at these times you have to dig deep within for that inner strength to go on.  Trust in God, believe in Him and He will see you through.  No matter what the problem is, it is never too great for him to solve.  Life is full of trials and obstacles to overcome but at the end of the dark clouds there is a silver lining and one day you will find yours.

The whole world seems bleak and bare,
Just reach out your hand
And you will find him there.
When you are afraid or lonely,
Need someone to really care,

You think, “Can this be fair?”

Help me to walk with patience, Lord
Help me watch and pray;
I know that You have heard me cry,
The sun will shine some day.

Help me to seek Your will, dear Lord.
O, keep me brave and true;
I know not what is best for me.
Send faith to see me through.

Help me to walk each step with hope
Though I can’t see the light;
Lord, take my hand and lead the way;
Oh, guide me day and night!

Hour by hour, Lord, give me faith,
Faith that never ask why;
Whatever it is Lord, help me say,
“Safe in your care am I.”
