Blaming the Other Woman

Isn’t it rather interesting to note that in a lot of situations where the relationship breaks down because the man cheats the wife or girlfriend is quick to point fingers and blame the other woman.

Here are five things to consider before you start blaming the other woman.

No.1 Cheating is not an accident or a mistake. It is a choice; it is a decision that someone makes.

No.2. Cheating is a selfish act which a man commits without any thought of how his actions will affect his partner.

No.3 The other woman cannot wreck your happy home unless your man allows her to.

No.4. The other woman has no commitment to you. She is not responsible for making sure that you don’t hurt emotionally.

No.5. It takes two to make any idea of cheating possible, so don’t just blame the other woman because the man is at fault too.

Three Hairs

There once was a woman who woke up one morning, looked in the mirror, and noticed she had only three hairs on her head. “Well,” she said, “I think I’ll braid my hair today.” So she did and she had a wonderful day.

The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and saw that she had only two hairs on her head. “H-M-M, ” she said, “I think I’ll part my hair down the middle today.” So she did and she had a grand day.

The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and noticed that she had only one hair on her head. “Well,” she said, “Today I’m going to wear my hair in a pony tail.” So she did and she had a fun, fun day.

The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and noticed that there wasn’t a single hair on her head….

“YEAH!” she exclaimed, “I don’t have to fix my hair today!”

The Other Woman

Couple outside Temple of Somnathpur - Near Mysore - India

Isn’t it wonderful when a couple makes time for each other?  A healthy relationship can flourish when both the man and the woman stay faithful to each other but sometimes it does not work out the way you anticipate.  When a woman says her  relationship is complicated in  many instances  another woman is in the picture.

It is bad enough when your man is cheating, but what is even worse is when the other woman try to imply that it is your fault why he is cheating.  She often does not see herself as doing anything wrong, at least not until you let her have him and he starts cheating on her with someone else.  She gets angry and upset and it does not occur to her that she was once that woman. It does not sink in that  she was once the other woman.

Strong Black Woman

They told her she couldn’t do it,

But she proved them all wrong.

Poor, bare foot country girl

Wanting to be doctor?

“Must be crazy,” they told her.

But she knew she was sane,

A doctor she wanted to be,

And for that goal she did aim.

They looked in awe and wonder,

Said she made them proud.

Yet they didn’t think her good enough,

For they told her she couldn’t have him,

Asked if she had lost her mind,

Doctor or not he wouldn’t marry her,

Her family was too poor,

And she was just too black.

She pitied their ignorance,

Felt ashamed for their own

 lack of self-esteem.

 She knew what she wanted

She knew together they would make a good team.

So she married him, and stupid people that they were,

They wondered did he really love her or did she cast a spell?

Still enslaved by mental slavery,

They find it hard to understand,

That it is not the color of your skin,

Or the family you are from,

That defines you as a man or a woman.

Women Murdered by Spouses

There were two murders making headlines yesterday. The first was in Brooklyn where a man stabbed and killed his wife. He injured his son who tried to intervene then attempted suicide. Dead is Gyltene Rugova a 46 year old mother of four.  It is reported that Mrs Rugova was preparing to open a pizza shop and was happy and looking forward to the grand opening. Now her dream will never be a reality. She is dead!

The other murder was that of April Jace.  She was shot to death by her husband actor Michael Jace in their home.  The couple have two young children who are now left without a mother and a father who may possibly spent the rest of his life behind bars for her death.

The question one might ask is could these deaths have been prevented.  Now this is the tricky part about domestic violence of this nature, you don’t know it is going to happen until it happens. Since no one knows what happens behind closed doors I implore and encourage women not to ignore signs of violence in their partners.  Tell someone about it if you are the subject of violence.  I am not saying this was the situation in either of these two cases, I am just saying…

May God grant the families of these two women the strength to deal with the loss of their loved ones who were savagely taken from them.

To all men I say anger can last a few minutes but the way you react can change your lives and the lives of those around you forever. Once you take a life it is final. There is no going back and make amends. There is nothing you can do to bring back that life.  If the situation is too much for you to handle walk away. You cannot breathe life into another human being so don’t take lives.

Facebook Hoax That People Fall For

Face book has changed their privacy settings once more! Due to the new, “graph app” anyone on face book (including other countries) can see your pictures, likes, & comments. The next 2 weeks I will be posting this, and please once you have done it please post DONE!!! Those of you who do not keep my information from going…… out to the public, I will have to DELETE YOU! I want to stay PRIVATELY connected with you. I post shots of family that I don’t want strangers to have access to! This happens when friends click “like” or “comment”…automatically, their friends would see our posts, too. Unfortunately, we cannot change this setting by ourselves because Face book configured it that way. PLEASE place your mouse over my name above (DO NOT CLICK), a window will appear, now move the mouse on “FRIENDS” (also without clicking), then down to “settings”, click here and a list will appear. REMOVE the CHECK on “LIFE EVENTS and “COMMENTS & LIKES”. By doing this, my activity among my friends and family will no longer become public. Now, copy & paste this on your wall. Once I see this posted on your page, I will do the same. Thank You.

This is one of the myths that appears on Facebook from time to time.  I think one of the reason I don’t fall for this is that I don’t like being told what to do especially when that request comes with a threat.  Another reason is,  all Face book account come with a privacy setting for a reason; it gives you the power to determine who sees your posts.

Keep in mind the fact that nothing about Face book is private.  If there are things that you do not want people to know or pics you don’t want people to see do not put it on Face book period!  Not all your Face book friends may actually be your friend, so unless you have just a couple of trusted friends in your circle things will get around.  Besides if it actually worked like that, do you think it a good idea to depend on others to keep the things you post private?  Think about it.

Facebook Posts That People Fall For

I got this photograph from Facebook, as the caption says: First you press LIKE  then in the comment section write the number 5 and see – I think that should be –  what happens. To date it has gotten over two million likes.  It is unbelievable, the number of people who fell for this. What is even more mind-boggling is that up to a few minutes ago people were still writing 5.  Yes there are people among us who actually thought clicking Like and writing 5  will have some effect on the image.  It makes you wonder if people don’t really think.  Some of the comments were very amusing, more entertaining than the pic.
