How many of you are not living your dreams. How many of you are stuck in jobs you hate but you stay because you are afraid to take a chance at something new. How many of you have had a dream, a vision or a business idea sitting on for years, but you haven’t taken the chance to put it into motion because you are afraid you might fail. Do not let your fears hold you back. Take a chance, grasp this moment. If you are determined, and hungry enough for success you will achieve it.

Self Empowerment
One of the most important steps towards empowerment is having a reasonable belief in yourself and your abilities. Self-confidence plays a key role in your growth and development as an individual.
One of the main reasons people fail to evolve and grow is due to a lack of self confidence. It is not for a lack of strength or even for the lack of trying. As individuals we all have our weak moments, but we must never let go of self-confidence. Confidence is believing that in spite of what you might come up against you will overcome and achieve success.
Be Empowered
I encourage you today, not to worry if people think you are a dreamer. Many of those who have achieved success, are the people who had a dream and pursued it. You must have a passion for life, a belief in self, and the determination to to be successful in what you do. Don’t be distracted by the noise and confusion around you. Keep your eyes on the prize!
Life
Life is a mixture of good and bad. It won’t always be smooth sailing. Problems will come along. At times you may feel as if you are being tested. There is a saying “the race is not for the swift but for those that can endure.” Endurance is one ingredient in the key to success. Don’t give up!
Writing Imagery
Why it is Important
The use of imagery is very important in writing. Incorporating the five senses of seeing, hearing, tasting, smelling and touching help to make your story come alive in the reader’s mind. You can draw them out of their world into your story with imagery. Take a look at the paragraph below.
“When we got to the river, Pete and I were in for a big surprise. The calm water we had waded through earlier was now a raging torrent, murky with mud and sediments rushing from upstream. A feeling of helplessness gripped me as I gazed over the water to the bank on the other side. There was no way we could to get across.” (from Broken Trust)
From the use of imagery you are able to visualize this couple standing on the bank of a river unable to cross.

By using imagery you can make your readers more engaged in the story.
Be Creative
You may be at home unable to go to work, but do not despair. For those writers who usually work full time, take this opportunity to let those creative juices flow. That novel you couldn’t find the time to finish, do it now. Find the silver lining in the midst of this battle. Keep your mind occupied. It will ease some of the stress. Keep safe. Good luck and happy writing.
Write First; Edit later
It doesn’t matter how bad your first draft is, or how many errors you make. No one will see it but you. When you have that burst of inspiration and the words flow faster than you can type or write them, don’t stop to correct a spelling or a punctuation, just write. Don’t try to make every sentence or ever paragraph perfect. As John Dufresne says, “The purpose of the first draft is not to get it right, but to get it written.“
Writing Dialogue

When writing dialogue, keep it short and meaningful. Do not write long drawn out sentences that are unnecessary. Your dialogue should be consistent with your character’s voice. It should be clear to the reader who the person is speaking to. The words should flow naturally. When in doubt that your dialogue sounds natural, read it out load. Good luck and happy writing.
