The influx of refugees into Germany might be drastically reduced as the country is closing its borders. Thousands of refugees have already poured into Germany and this new measure will dash the hopes of many more. Security concerns could be part of the reason. The new measures hopefully will bring some pressure on other European Union Member States to do something about the refugee crisis.

Feeding the refugees was a good gesture but it could have been done in a more humane manner. Remember they are people not animals and even animals are treated better than this.

Hungarian Reporter Kicks and Trips Refugees
This video is very painful to watch. It is disgusting that this Hungarian reporter was so insensitive to the plight of Syrian refugees and that she would resort to kicking and tripping some of them as they ran for their lives. How can someone be so heartless is something I cannot understand. Talk about kicking someone when they are down… She was fired from her job and rightly so. Her behavior was disgraceful.
On Immigrants Speaking English
People tend to use the term immigrant loosely without giving much thought to who is an immigrant. Many people in America do not see themselves as immigrant but the truth is unless your fore-parents were here prior to Columbus coming to America you descendants of immigrants. There is no denying that America is made up of immigrants. Immigrants came to America from all different parts of the world and they did not all speak the same language. Sadly Sarah Palin is so busy sucking up to Donald Trump that she seem to have taken leave of her senses making that speech that Immigrants should speak English when they are in America. Hey I am not saying people shouldn’t try to learn English but they shouldn’t be forced to speak it and Sarah Palin and Donald Trump ought to understand this.

This quote is one by which we should all try to live. Kudos to Germany for taking in the Syrian refugees. It warmed my heart and brought tears to my eyes to see hundreds welcomed in Germany after the long walk from Budapest. It is heartbreaking to see what these people are going through as they try to flee war strikened Syria. The body of that little boy washed up on a beach after the overcrowded boat that they were in sank is forever etched in my memory. So many have lost their lives trying to escape. I pray that all those who can help will continue to welcome these refugees with open arms and hearts.
Women sentenced to rape in india
I came across this news story recently and was appalled and disgusted that
Men in India have so little respect for the women there that they would
see rape as justifiable punishment.
The sisters were sentenced by elders of a village council to be raped
after their brother had an affair and ran off with a married woman.
For women in India rape is a part of their culture and rapes occur daily.
After much protest in India and the intervention of Amnesty International
the village council has since denied making the ruling.
The question still remains, how long will the Government of India
continue to allow women to be raped, abused and murdered without
doing anything to protect them.

The political scene in America is getting more and more humorous. Last night at the MTV VMA’s Kanye West announced that he intends to run for President in 2020. I thought it somewhat hilarious. What are your thoughts?

Jamaican Gay Teen Chopped To Death By Angry Crowd
I read this news paper article about a week ago and I have to state my views on the incident. Apparently a 17-year-old transvestite was spotted dancing with another man at a street dance. Someone recognized him and pointed out to others that he was a man dressed up like a woman. Subsequently the teen was attacked, beaten, chopped and stabbed to death. His body was then dumped into nearby bushes and was later discovered by police who are reportedly launching an investigation. I will not hold my breath on any arrest in the matter.
In my opinion this was a wicked and barbaric act against this young man. He may have stepped out of line dancing with another man in a society in which he is aware that many people are homophobic. However taking the life of someone for this in this cruel manner is something we must denounce. Unfortunately in the comments it was clear that many people justified the actions of the murderers.
Siding with murderers in a country with a high murder rate as Jamaica murder rate is poses some serious questions. How seriously do Jamaicans feel about curbing the murder rate which already is over six hundred death for 2015. How is it okay to stab and chop someone to death simply for being different? How is it wrong to be gay yet okay to be a murderer. Many are quick to quote scriptures to justify their actions but let us also remember one of the ten commandments said Thou Shalt Not Kill.
Thought for Today
Greed has taken over the world and sometimes those who have are the ones who are never satisfied. Greed is having a negative impact on the health sector. We have cases of doctors diagnosing people with cancer who do not have the disease and subjecting them the expensive cancer treatments, destroying the health of these people for personal gain. Today I read of another case of a doctor diagnosing patients with MS who don’t the disease and subjecting them to expensive treatments simply because of greed. Where is the love for humanity. Is money more important than someone’s life?
