Often Confused word

There are some words that sound so much alike but have different meaning. Sometimes these words can be confusing and are used in the wrong manner. In this post I will discuss two of those words.

COMPLIMENT and COMPLEMENT

While these two words sound the same their meanings are different.

COMPLIMENT: is a polite expression of  praise or admiration. For example “I love you hair it looks wonderful.”

COMPLEMENT: means to add something in a way that enhances it or make it seem perfect. For example “Her jacket complements her dress. It adds a touch of elegance.

What Stories do You Love?

I am a lover of books. It does not matter the genre as long as the story is interesting I will read it. I read almost every book in the ‘Nancy Drew’, and ‘Hardy Boys’, series. I have read books by Agatha Christie, Louis L’Amour westerns, Harold Robbins, Mills and Boon books, Harlequin book, books by Mickey Spillane and by many other authors.

Whether it is romance, detective, mystery, historical novels, or espionage stories ( I used to love those)it didn’t matter. Once I started reading I didn’t want to put the book down until I knew how the story ended. I spent many nights up later reading because I couldn’t wait until the next day to read the ending.

Sadly I don’t read as much as I used to but I know I have to make the time to. What stories do you love.
