Ever so often rather than staying focused on what is important people allow naysayers to cause them to question their judgment and as a result lose confidence. Surround Yourself With Positive People
Getting motivated and staying motivated is often difficult. There are times when you may feel like giving up. But remember that the ones who achieve success are the ones who didn’t quit when the going got tough. If you surround yourself with people who only have hard luck stories to share you will become disheartened. It is therefore important to have in your circle positive people who will encourage you and help you up when you feel you are slipping.
Should You Keep Silent if it Doesn’t Affect You?
Many of society’s ills are noticed by many but few intervene because they either don’t care of feel it is none of their business. Society have placed people in different groups and class and are they treated in a manner in which others believe they should be treated.
So often people see others being unjustly treated and turn a blind eye. Often the way you are treated depends on what race you fall under. I recall an incident at an airport where cops were trying to detain a white man. He was furious at the way he was been handled and he shouted and I quote, “YOU ARE TREATING ME LIKE A BLACK PERSON” My thought was damn, and yet people pretend not to notice that black folks are treated differently. I believe that injustice is injustice. Color should not matter. Stop being silent.
Intolerance Creates Division in Society
People are often intolerant of others who may not look like them or have different view points from the ones they hold. Intolerance has created division among different groups of people and it is one of the reasons we all can’t get along. People are intolerant of different skin color of of those of different political views, religion, sexual orientation and social status.
In my opinion everyone is entitled to be different or have unique qualities. We don’t have to all look the same or share the same views in order to get along. When we become more tolerant of each other there will be less conflict in society.
If You are Passionate About Something, Find a way to get it Done
Many people wake around with dreams waiting for someone else to give them the opportunity to make that dream become a reality. However I say if you are passionate about something, you find a way to get it done.
So often people blame others for their failures rather than accept the fact that they did not try hard enough. It is not the job of others to make you succeed or make you plan work out. It is up to you to act with a sense of maturity and passion and pursue that which you aim to achieve. It may be tempting to blame others but you will never achieve true success unless you take responsibility and realize that it is up to you to make your dream come true.
Who thinks About the Children?
The world is full of of wonderful people. Alas there are those who care little about humanity. What is happening in Syria is a perfect example of this. When there is power struggle between nations few give thought about the defenseless civilians who simply want to live in peace. My heart breaks for the people of Syria, especially for those innocent children. No child should have to suffer what they are going through? Does anyone think about the children?
God’s Blessings is Enough!
God has an abundance of blessings in store for your life. He is going to remove all obstacles in your path and destroy everything designed to hold you back. He is going to open up new doors for you and close the ones that are holding you back. No one can stop the blessings that he is about to pour down on you. Believe it and claim it
The Greatest Love of All
We often talk about love. Everyone wants someone to love them. People make sacrifices for love. But the funny thing is, people sometimes fail to love themselves. Loving youself is important. In fact it is the greatest love all, for why would you expect someone to love you if you don’t love yourself?
Often Confused Words
Today we will look at two more words that are often confused, the are: STATIONARY and STATIONERY
Stationary means: something that is motionless, not moving
Stationery means: writing or other office materials
Tomorrow we will look at two more easily confused words.
Take time to Enjoy Nature
There is nothing better on a hot day
Than to feel the wind against your skin
On a dark and dreary day it is always
A wonderful sight to see that sun peeping through.
Take time to notice the birds, the butterflies
And the flowers. Nature is beautiful but we don’t
always take time to notice.
