Abuse is not Okay

Do you love yourself enough to know that you deserve the best in life? Do you understand that it was never God’s will for you to live a life of sorrow. Don’t settle for heartache and try to convince yourself that it is okay. Don’t tell yourself that you are too weak to get out of the situation you are in. By the willpower of the strength God has placed in you rise up strong women break free from the bonds of domestic abuse. Love yourself enough to want better for your lives. If you love him… love yourself more.

  1. I may end up bringing about controversy, but I think that domestic abuse is not solely an issue that is affecting women. I would vote to state that ALL domestic violence, whether it is mental, physical or any other kind should be fought with tenacity. It sadly does go both ways, seeing I am a guy who has been subject to the above. Abuse is NEVER okay, but it should never be gender specific either, just don’t do it.

    1. You are right domestic abuse does not affect only women but 85% of the victims are women and in keeping with the theme of this blog “Empowering Women” my posts tend to focus more on abuse experienced by women. Thanks for sharing your viewpoint.
