Happy New Year

The old year has gone and we welcome the new. It is a new dawn a new beginning another chance to do the things we did not get done in 2014. Let us give God thanks for bringing us thus far and let 2015 be a positive year in all respect. Let us be positive in our thoughts, speech, actions and interactions. I wish for all good health, wealth, success in all your endeavors and a peaceful and productive year.

God Bless you all.

Christmas is Jesus

Christmas is Jesus
Who came down to earth
In the form of a baby,
Came to offer new birth.
Christmas is music
With singing and praise.
Christmas is sharing,
In numerous ways.

Christmas is holly,
With tinsel and light.
Christmas is joyful
With bright colored sights.
Christmas is giving,
When God gave His Son;
To offer redemption,
For the wrong we have done.
We need to accept Him,
This Gift from above.
For Christmas is Jesus,
God’s promise of Love.

Christmas Wishes

Merry Christmas

 It’s Christmas Sweet Christmas

The church bells are ringing
And the choirs are singing
The songs of our dear saviors birth.
It’s Christmas, sweet Christmas
And people are praying
That there will be peace on earth.

Our friends send out greetings
And families have meetings
With joy and great holiday cheer.
It’s Christmas, sweet Christmas
And people are hoping
This feeling will last through the year.

For Christ is the reason
For this Holy Season
And blessings stream from Heaven above.
It’s Christmas, sweet Christmas
And people are thanking
The Lord for the gift of such love.

Americans Unite

We are in the holiday season but many families are mourning the loss of their loved ones. This is a time for us to unite and come together as one yet there are some who continue to sow seeds of division.

Two police officers lost their lives at the hands of a man who has no respect for lives, not for his own or for others. He was a person with a hatred of the police, a person who was arrested multiple times. He had just shot his ex-girlfriend and was on the run. He knew the police were coming after him. One report said he had mental issues and that he was estranged from a number of his relatives. It is unfortunate that he used Eric Garner and Michael Brown’s name in his posts but does this makes someone else responsible for his actions? When Eric Frien shot and killed two police officers in Pennsylvania in September was it someone else’s fault?

It is time to stop the name calling, finger pointing and blaming people for the action of others. It is petty, it is stupid and it will get us nowhere. We are all a part of the problem and it is imperative that we all be a part of the solution. We must stop acting like spoiled kindergarten brats and work together to fix a system that needs fixing. We are a nation divided against itself and why we squabble with each other we are leaving ourselves open for our enemies to capitalize on our weaknesses. Let us not lose focus. We are one people we are in this together. Let us unite and work together to make America a better place.

Cops Killed in Brooklyn

It is disheartening to hear of the shooting death of two Police Officers in Brooklyn today Wednesday 20th December.
They were shot execution style while sitting in their vehicle. It is reported that the lone gunman who killed the officers took his own life. We must all condemn this horrendous act. Condolences to the families of these two officers who will not be home for Christmas. It is sad indeed the bloodshed must stop. There is no justification in snuffing out the lives of others.

Isaiah 9:6

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Taliban Attack in Pakistan

Joy to the world, Peace on earth and good will to men… Sadly this is not a time of joy or peace for many families in Pakistan. The horror that unfolded on Tuesday is a poignant reminder of the Sandy Hooks shooting in December 2014. What happened in Pakistan is even worse. The onslaught was carried out by people seeking revenge and in the aftermath more that 140 people were killed and of that amount about 130 were children.

It is very sad that people are so heartless in taking the lives of others. We cannot have peace by creating wars. There is no justifying bloodshed and mayhem. The world is a big place and there is room enough for us all to live together in peace and harmony.

Be Yourself

To be nobody but yourself in a world which is doing its best night and day, to make you everybody else, means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight, and never stop fighting.

The spirit Christmas is in the air

Peace on earth good will to men,
Let all violence and strife end.
