Thought For Today

“For Attractive lips, speak words of kindness.
For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people.
For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry.
For beautiful hair, let a child run their fingers through it once a day.
For poise, walk with the knowledge that you never walk alone.
People, more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed, and redeemed. Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, you will find one at the end of each of your arms.
As you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands, one for helping yourself and the other for helping others.”
― Sam Levenson

Jesus is Risen

For God so loved the world that He sent his Son to die for us. He died for our sins and through his resurrection we have the chance of eternal life.

Jesus Christ is risen today,
Alleluia
Our triumphant holy day, Alleluia
Who once did upon the cross, Alleluia
Suffer to redeem our loss, Alleluia.

Hymna of praise then let us sing, Alleluia
Unto Christ our heavenly King, Alleluia
Who endured the cross and grave, Alleluia
Sinners to redeem and save, Alleluia.

But the pain which He endured, Alleluia
Our salvation have procured, Alleluia
Now above the sky He’s King, Alleluia
Where the angels ever sing, Alleluia.

On a hill far away stood an Old Rugged Cross
The emblem of suffering and shame
And I love that old cross where the dearest and best
For a world of lost sinners was slain

So I’ll cherish the Old Rugged Cross
Till my trophies at last I lay down
And I will cling to the Old Rugged Cross
And exchange it some day for a crown

To the Old Rugged Cross, I will ever be true
It’s shame and reproach, gladly bear
Then He’ll call me some day to my home far away
Where His glory forever I’ll share

And I’ll cherish the Old Rugged Cross
Till my trophies at last I lay down
And I will cling to the Old Rugged Cross
And exchange it some day for a crown

Yeah, I will cling to the Old Rugged Cross
And exchange it some day for a crown

Massacre In Kenya

The world is in a turmoil innocent blood is spilling left right and center. Humanity has gone over the edge and there is no understanding the senseless killings. What justification can one man have for taking the life of another. Mankind have made a deal with the devil and he is in control spurring them on to the point where some have become merchants of death.

However let us not underestimate the power of prayer. It is a strong force and with faith it can move mountains. It will take more than just artillery to quell the war of hate and the forces driven by hate whose sole intention is to leave a trail of death in their path. Let us bow down in prayer and have faith that the hand of God will stop them in their tracks.

The forces of evil as we are seeing is strong but with unity the forces of good is stronger and although evil will reign for a will in the end the forces of good will conquer and overcome. Prayers for those who were senselessly killed in Kenya. Prayers for the students who never got a chance to make it to adulthood. Prayer for all who died…all gone too soon. Prayers to the families who are left to mourn.

For those who died in Kenya my tribute to you in this song/
“Gone Too Soon”

Like A Comet
Blazing ‘Cross The Evening Sky
Gone Too Soon

Like A Rainbow
Fading In The Twinkling Of An Eye
Gone Too Soon

Shiny And Sparkly
And Splendidly Bright
Here One Day
Gone One Night

Like The Loss Of Sunlight
On A Cloudy Afternoon
Gone Too Soon

Like A Castle
Built Upon A Sandy Beach
Gone Too Soon

Like A Perfect Flower
That Is Just Beyond Your Reach
Gone Too Soon

Born To Amuse, To Inspire, To Delight
Here One Day
Gone One Night

Like A Sunset
Dying With The Rising Of The Moon
Gone Too Soon

Gone Too Soon…May you souls Rest In Peace

A Thought For Today

“Here are some simple habits to help make each day an adventure worth having…..
Begin with intention. Wake up in the morning with a clear idea of who you want to become and where you want to be. After all, what we think, we become.
Be compassionate. Every person you encounter is on a journey, just like you. Be gracious, be humble, and be kind to fellow travelers. At the end of the day we are remembered not by what we did for ourselves, but what we did for others.
Be open to adventure.. Be on the lookout for new opportunities and chances to grow. Learn to say yes to what life has to offer, and greet each sunset with satisfaction.
Be kind to yourself. Each day is another chance to grow in wellness. Make time to nurture and develop your special interests and talents, and try not to be so busy that you don’t have time for the things you love.
Be grateful. When the day is over, look back and remember the small things you are thankful for and yes, there is always something to be thankful for. Remember what made you smile, and what made this day unique….”

A Thought For Today

“You are perfect exactly as you are.
With all your flaws and problems,
there’s no need to change anything.
All you need to change is
the thought that
you aren’t good enough.”

A Though For Today

God never promised that we wouldn’t have challenges. In fact, He said just the opposite. His word says, ‘Be truly glad!…these trials are only to test your faith, to see whether or not it is strong and pure…’ so if your faith remains strong after being tried in the test tube of fiery trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day of His return.”

Creflo Dollar

650 Dollar Gulf Stream Airplane

Over time we have witnessed pastors becoming more and more greedy. They are skillful at manipulating their congregation and find ever scripture in the bible to convince them to sow monetary seeds. That is not a bad thing if the people themselves were benefiting from the fruits of these seeds. The problem is they sow the seeds and the pastors reap the fruit and they make themselves richer while their congregation remain poor.

Creflo Dollar’s request that 200,000 thousand people each sow a $300 seed for him to acquire a Gulf-stream G650 airplane show the level of greed that exist in the church. People like Creflo Dollar have a sense of entitlement and they are so caught up with their own selfish wants that they become blinded to the needs of others. They proclaim to teach the word of God but they need to stop and ask themselves is this something that Jesus would have done?

How about raising the money to build houses for the poor, provide college funds for those who have the potential but not the funds to go to college. How about helping to feed the millions around the world who are starving. How about providing clean water to countries whose people still do not having running water. How about helping others instead of wanting to live this life of luxury that makes you feel that travelling in a commercial plane is not for you and you need your own private Jet. I am all for Creflo Dollar owning his sixty-five million dollar jet but he needs to buy it with his own money.

Matthew 24:Verse 24 give us a warning on what to expect it says:
For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.
Again in Luke 18:25 Jesus said;
“Indeed, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.”

I believe many pastors start out with good intentions but along the way become so overcome with greed that they lose their way and they become captives of money. They thirst for it and that thirst is never satisfied.

Thought For Today

“When you are tempted to get discouraged, remind yourself that according to God’s word, your future is getting brighter; you are on your way to a new level of glory. You may think you’ve got a long way to go, but you need to look back at how far you’ve already come. You may not be everything you want to be but at east you can thank God that you’re not what you used to be.”

Fire in Brooklyn claims Seven Lives

The tragedy in Brooklyn is a reminder that in the blink of an eye tragedy can strike and precious lives lost. This is not easy… the pain of the family unimaginable. It is like having a nightmare then wake up to find that the horror  is real. I can’t think of words to give this family comfort but I hope the words of this song might bring solace.

Farther Along

Tempted and tried we’re oft made to wonder
Why it should be thus all the day long While there are others living about us Never molested, though in the wrong

Farther along we’ll know all about it Farther along we’ll understand why
Cheer up my brother, live in the sunshine We’ll understand it all by and by

When death has come and taken our loved ones It leaves our home so lonley and drear Then we do wonder why others prosper
Living so wicked year after year

Faithful till death said our loving Master
A few more days to labor and wait
Toils of the road will then seem as nothing
As we sweep through the beautiful gate

When we see Jesus coming in glory
When He comes from His home in the sky
Then we shall meet Him in that bright mansion
We’ll understand it all by and by

Farther along we’ll know
all about it
Farther along we’ll understand why
Cheer up my brother, live in the sunshine
We’ll understand it all by and by.

Elaine, Rivkah, Sara, Yeshua, Moshe, Yaakob, and David Sassoon today you are all safe in the arms of the angels and maybe someday your family will understand why.

Prayers for the father who now has the daunting task of burying his seven children while his wife and other daughter fight for their lives.
