Coronavirus Pandemic

As the threat of Coronavirus become more evident people are engaging in panic buying stocking on commodities from food to household cleaning items.

Uncertainty is part of the reason for this increased shopping. I can understand people wanting to make sure they have enough food supply in case they have to quarantine. What I cannot understand is the unnecessary shopping for toilet paper. What is the link between toilet paper and the virus. I saw one incident where one individual whi had a trolley full of cases of toilet paying engaged in a fight with anothet individual who just wanted one case. Can toilet paper cure the virus? This is so confusing. The bottom line is we all need to think of each other.

A Tip for New Writers

As a writer it is important to value your craft and take pride in your work. Along with proper grammar and punctuation, correct formatting is also important to make your book readable. I once had a fellow writer who was promoting her book on Face Book. I went on Amazon to check it out and realized it had no proper formatting. Sentences ran into each other with no separation or paragraphs. It was unreadable. I reached out to the person via private message relaying what I had discovered and was shocked when the individual acknowledged that she was aware of it. I found it mind-boggling that someone would promote a book knowing it was next to impossible to read. Weeks later when I checked back it remained the same.

There is no point in publishing a book if no one can read it. Do not make that mistake. Good luck and happy writing.

Book Review

Today I will review Blood and justice by Rayven T. Hill. This book is a Murder/ Mystery. Overall, I give it a 4 star.

Blood and Justice: A Private Investigator Serial Killer Mystery (A Jake & Annie Lincoln Thriller Book 1)

The story is about a sixteen-year-old girl who goes missing. Her mother hires a couple who are private detectives to find her. It appears as if the police were not doing as much as they could to find her and were comfortable with this couple do their own investigation.

Soon after Jenny goes missing there is a series of murders, which grabs everyone’s attention. A serial killer is on a mission to rid the town of anyone he sees stealing. In his crazed mind he considers murdering them justice. When Jenny’s boyfriend is identified as one of the victims, fear increases that she might not be alive. The big question was who was committing the murders, and why. Was there a connection between them and Jenny’s disappearance. The killer turns out to be a seemingly harmless man who worked at the local grocery store. As a child someone had broken into Jeremy’s house. His father had shot the intruder dead but went to prison for manslaughter. Now he hates all thieves. Did he kill Jenny too? You will have to read the book to find our.

The pace of the story was slow but it was an interesting read. Some might not consider it a mystery since the reader knew who the killer was from the beginning. So, the only mystery was whether he would kill Jenny or set her free which I suppose was a mystery.
