Dear Lord I thank Thee for this day

And for Thy tender care

I come to Thee on bended knee

And call to Thee in prayer.

And for my gracious friends;

I look around at those I love

With joy that never ends.

Dear Lord I thank Thee for this day;

Come fill me with Thy peace;

Oh, hold me in Thy gentle hand,

And grant me sweet release.
