Marva Seaton new book –WORD OF THE DAY subtitle Quiet Moments of Reflection – will be out on April 10. This is an inspirational book which challenges you to take a moment each day for quiet reflection. You can chose the word in the order in which they appear in the book or you can choose a random word and meditate on it depending on what you may be feeling or experiencing on that particular day. The book also provides blank spaces for you to write your affirmation. Marva has shared some of her Word of the Day pages of her book on her blog and Face book page and timeline. DEFEATED:
The time may come when it seems like nothing is going right you try everything and fail and your back is against the wall. You feel defeated and you want to give up. Do not allow pessimism to take over instead get on your knees to God in prayer.

 

2 Corinthians 4 V 8-10 say: We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed but not driven to despair; persecuted but not forsaken;  struck down, but not destroyed; always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our bodies.

I pray that no matter how defeated you are feeling that you will find victory in the Lord.

The murder of two Argentine young women in Ecuador is tragic and heart wrenching. These two young lives were unnecessarily cut short by cowards who have no respect for women and for life in general. The two men held in connection with their deaths claimed they were drunk. What an excuse…how drunk can you be that you are not aware that you are murdering someone? If they are found guilty I hope they get the maximum punishment by law.

Amidst all the riots and chaos presently taking place I dread to imagine what would happen if Donald Trump becomes the next President of the United States.  America needs a person who can not only unify people here in America but one who is capable of maintaining good relations  with the rest of the world. Trumps is plantings seeds of division, bigotry and hate that will undoubtedly bear fruits. Yes he is different, yes he speaks his mind but is that all the quality that we are looking for in a president. What started out as a joke is not longer funny. We must choose sanity, Integrity and peace over arrogance and bigotry.
