The depths of it…the numbness, loss,
Shall draw you closer to His cross
Be still and trust! The deepest gloom
Can lead you to that quiet room
Where, Him with sweet communion share
An inner peace…your soul repair.
Be still and know His way is best;
You will be strengthened through this test.
There are no losses without gain
And joy restored shall follow pain
Be still, that through you He may shine,
Thereby another path define;
For in this know the victory;
The sting is quenched and you are free.
