The verdict in the Eric Garner case is a disappointing one. Sadly I did not have enough faith in the justice system to believe the outcome would have been any different. Whether we want to believe it or not there is a serious race issue in America.
The question is how can we fix it. There is something wrong with a system which allows law enforcers to take the lives of black men and know they have nothing to worry about and no one to answer to.
I feel for the family of Eric Garner. I understand their pain. It is never easy to lose a loved one especially in the manner in which Garner lost his life. White lives are not the only ones that matter, black lives matter too.
I couldn’t agree with you more, we do have a race issue in this country which was clearly portrayed in the video, but ignored by our justice system once again. To make matters worse it was all over the sale of a few loose cigarettes, big deal and certainly not worth taking a man’s life. The outcome of this is extremely upsetting.
We hope for change but when things like this happen it makes us wonder if we are hoping in vain. Will the change ever come!
i don’t know what we expected in the Ferguson case, justice being what it is, but here, please!! and Obama wants to put ‘body cameras’ on every officer in the country, yeah right, to quote my brother down in memphis: “niggah please” “camera don’t lie”
I agree I don’t see where the police wearing body camera is going to make a difference. Until they change the way they do their jobs and treat people equally nothing will change.
Amen to that
Enough , great reflection .Please correct “Enough”
Thanks for pointing out that typo error posted from my phone and did not notice it. Thanks again.
