Mother Nature at Work

On Friday we awoke to freezing temperatures and snow-covered grounds. It was the kind of weather in which you remain indoor and not venture out unless you have to.

It disrupted many lives as school closed their door and many were unable to make it to work because of the harsh conditions.  We were once more reminded that there is no force stronger than that of nature.

Marva writes great blogs – this reminded me that here on our mountain we will soon be hitting our peak snow time. Whenever I say I live in Madrid I often get envious comments about the weather. Actually the city itself is high but we are in the mountains above the city at 900metres. It is only 20 minutes to the ski slopes! January and February is cold but very often sunny and with the snow down can be beautiful as well.
