Father, do you ever think of me,
Your child, your son?
Do you really care if I am hungry,
Or naked or sick,
Or if I don’t go to school?
Do you remember my birthday,
Or the fact that I was born?
Do you feel safe in your amnesia,
Not wanting to remember,
Because it is so much easier to forget,
Father would you be surprised,
If I grew up to be just like you,
Uncaring and irresponsible too?
