A Thought For Today

“Here are some simple habits to help make each day an adventure worth having…..
Begin with intention. Wake up in the morning with a clear idea of who you want to become and where you want to be. After all, what we think, we become.
Be compassionate. Every person you encounter is on a journey, just like you. Be gracious, be humble, and be kind to fellow travelers. At the end of the day we are remembered not by what we did for ourselves, but what we did for others.
Be open to adventure.. Be on the lookout for new opportunities and chances to grow. Learn to say yes to what life has to offer, and greet each sunset with satisfaction.
Be kind to yourself. Each day is another chance to grow in wellness. Make time to nurture and develop your special interests and talents, and try not to be so busy that you don’t have time for the things you love.
Be grateful. When the day is over, look back and remember the small things you are thankful for and yes, there is always something to be thankful for. Remember what made you smile, and what made this day unique….”

Be Humble

Humility is something that not everyone understands. It is not something that you can fake because it comes from the heart. Many of us focus on self and conversations revolves around use of the words I, ME and MY.

We come into the world and when we depart we will not be remembered for how many degrees we have or how lavishly we lived, those things are easily forgotten. It is the selfless acts we do that make a difference in the world that we will be most remembered for. It is the little things we do to help others that enable people to have faith in humanity.

Humility is never self-centered or boastful. People who do good to others often do so from the heart without the thought of getting acknowledged or praised. They do not do so and stand proudly and beat their chests and say I did this or this happened because of me. They do what they do because they see it as the right thing to do. They do so from the heart because they care.
