Thought For Today

There are six things the Lord hates- no seven things he detests: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that kill the innocent, a heart that plots evil, feet that race to do wrong, a false witness who pours out lies, a person who sows discord in a family.

Lord, Give Me Faith {By Phyllis C Michael}

Praying Black Woman Stock Photo - 5626367

Help me to walk with patience, Lord
Help me watch and pray;
I know that You have heard me cry,
The sun will shine some day.

Help me to seek Your will, dear Lord.
O, keep me brave and true;
I know not what is best for me.
Send faith to see me through.

Help me to walk each step with hope
Though I can’t see the light;
Lord, take my hand and lead the way;
Oh, guide me day and night!

Hour by hour, Lord, give me faith,
Faith that never ask why;
Whatever it is Lord, help me say,
“Safe in your care am I.”

MoreThoughts For Today

Fearing people is a dangerous trap, but trusting the Lord means safety {Proverbs 29 V 25}

Never slander a worker to the employer or the person will curse you, and you will pay for it.  [Proverbs 30 V 10}

There are three things that amaze me- no, four things that I don’t understand: how an eagle glides through the sky, how a snake slithers on a rock, how a ship navigates the ocean, how a man loves a woman.  {Proverbs 30 V 18 & 19}

Let not thy heart be troubled, neither be afraid.  Troubles of life will come along, the world is full of problems and no one is immune, however if you put your trust in God, He will see you through.  He says ”I will never leave you or forsake you”   If you are going through tough times.  If there is a problem in your life, just remember His promise; trust in his words and he will see you through.

Time to Reflect

The year two thousand and eleven is almost at a close, very soon we will be welcoming the year two thousand and twelve. As we await this moment let us take the time to reflect. How have we spent the year thus far? Were we at any point able to make a positive impact on someone else life. Were we able to maintain a spirit of forgiveness and not give in to the urge to render evil for evil.
A lot of problem in the world today is due to a lack of love. People hold on to old grudges, resentments and the thought of getting even and in so doing lose touch of what is right and what is wrong. Someone does you wrong and you so badly want to even the score that it doesn’t occur to you that if you do what the other person does, in reality you are no better than them.
In all things try to do good and always be reminded of these words of our Lord and Savior ”Whatsoever you do to the least of my brothers that you do unto me” You know even people who claim to be christian have not fully grasped this message of brotherly love and I will give you an example.
There was this christian? couple and I put the question sign because I really wonder. Anyway they had a house which they rented a family. Everything was okay initially but there came a time when the family began having financial problems and the rent was not always paid on time. The family was given notice to vacate the house, the reason being late payment of rent. Subsequently the family was evicted. All of their furniture was placed outside. As night approached the family wondered where they were going to spend the night.
This was a thought farthest from the mind of the owner of the house as he came and locked up the house leaving the family outside in the dark. He and his wife then left for church; no doubt to worship the very Lord ” who said whatsoever you do to the least of my brother that you do unto to me. When I was hungry you gave me to eat, when I was thirsty you gave me to drink , when I was homeless you gave me a home now enter into the home of my father.”
Let us try not to be like this couple for the greatest test we have to pass on this earth is that of loving one another and doing good to each other!
